**OMWROTFLOLPMP!!!!! The spell checker wants to replace CROCKPOT with CRACKPOT!!!!**

MY computer is fixed!!!! YAY!!!! And we moved my computer upstairs so I can use the 'puter to homeschool the kids. We introduced the computer to the kids tonight (really - our son is 5 and had never used one) WHAAA HOO!! They LOVED it. They took turns doing worksheets from Starfall and playing games there, as well as using a game from Brighter beginnings - a Muppet Baby one. The kids did great!

I am still scared of homeschooling - I have been reading alot, but once in a while I read about that "perfect" homeschool mom (you know the one, teaching 8 kids, dinner in the crockpot, laundry done in a timely manner and PUT AWAY,having time for her bible study, the hubby who has time to do daily bible devotion with the children and takes time everyday to check in with each child for half and hour), or read about all the curriculum choices and "stuff: I can get to help teach my children - nevermind the Christian curriculums available!!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! Overwhelming to the extreme! I have to find some places to get used curriculum cheap (any hints??)

Dib't know much about homeschooling curriculum. What do people say about Pennsylvania's Virtual Charter School. It's free. The website is http://www.pavcs.org/

Me again . . . Thanks for the link to Starfall. It's perfect for my little bratface. I had never heard of it before.

A Charter school is NOT homeschool. Your child is STILL a PUBLIC school student. Subject to all testing and state requirmets that most homeschoolers fundamentally disagree with (which is why they homeschool)

I will post some homeschool likns later this week.

They have never used the computer? WOW! I hate to say it, but both of mine have pretty much used it since birth, thanks to computer obsessed parents. Bug Boy even surfs by himself (don't worry, extreme parental controls. I didn't mean for it to happen, but it did.

Have you tried posting it on freecycle?
BTW,they used to run a homeschool co-op around here, one was at Cel's church. My sister's neighbor used it. They primarily did homeschooling but would meet two days a week for specials and gym, socializing, arts and crafts. Idon't know if they still do it, but that might help.

That woman does not exist!! It is a lie straight from Satan!! You will be a great homeschooler. Give yourself a year and a half and you will never look back. (The first six months you will look back everyday and doubt yourself every second!)
